In managing diabetes mellitus, the first step that must be taken is non-pharmacological management in the form of meal planning and physical activity when these measures have not been achieved, followed by the use of World Health Organization 1985 drugs that physical activity designed according to age and physical status is part of DM treatment This study aimed to determine changes in blood glucose levels and body weight of DM patients who performed diit and diit plus diabetes exercise. Research was conducted in poliabetics and diabetes gymnastics club Pelni Petamburan Hospital for 2 months by using questionnaires for general data analysis samples and weight measurement data and Blood glucose levels Results of data collection showed 38 type II DM patients who met the criteria for each group as many as 38 people so that the total sample was 76 people. for changes in blood glucose levels and body weight for each group with the two sample dependent test while for the nutrient intake data and comparing the differences between the 2 groups were tested with independent t test and sample There were no differences in energy intake of proteinin fat and carbohydrates in both groups and some were quite good Changes in blood glucose levels and body weight for the diit group plus diabetes gymnastics from 1 month to 1 month-month all mean p005 while for the diit group there is no significant difference in changes in blood glucose levels and body weight for diit groups plus diabetes exercise is greater if compared with the diit. that the intake of nutrients the frequency of exercise and duration of exercise has an effect on the decrease in blood glucose levels and weight so that in managing DM it is recommended to do diit and regular physical exercise
