Abstract : Based on the results
a preliminary survey that has been conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 21 Baluwarti
Surakarta shows that 70.1% of students have a balanced knowledge of nutrition
less. This study aims to determine the effect of media education
flashcard to the child's knowledge of the general guidelines of balanced nutrition in elementary school
Muhammadiyah 21 Baluwarti Surakarta. The research used is
quasi experiment design with design
Non Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest. Research subjects respectively
31 students as treatment group and control group. Which instrument
used a questionnaire of Balanced Nutrition Guidelines with 25 items of questions.
The media used is flashcard. The results show that there is
influence before and after being given education by media flashcard to child's knowledge about
general guidance of balanced nutrition. The difference test results (Man Whitney U test) shows
value p = 0.000 which means there is a difference in knowledge of General Guidelines Balanced Nutrition
in the treatment group given flashcard media with the control group.
