Jurnal Penelitian Penilaian Risiko Kualitas Udara Ambient (NO2 dan SO2) dan Gangguan Pernafasan untuk Masyarakat di daerah Kalianak Surabaya
Air pollutant gases that have a noticeable impact on the respiratory system are NOTHING 2 and SO 2 . Kalianak Surabaya is one of the areas with high traffic density of more than 1,500 vehicles every hour. The community that was most affected was the people who lived along the Kalianak highway. This study aims to analyze ambient air (NO 2 and SO 2 in Kalimantan and the risk of respiratory problems in the surrounding community. This research is descriptive, with a cross sectional approach. The sample of this study was 19 respondents conducted by purposive sampling. Spirometer is used to determine lung function status. The variables studied were age, length of stay, smoking habits, and body mass index. The collected data is analyzed by environmental health risk assessment. The Environmental Health Risk Assessment shows that people living in this area are not safe with NO concentrations measured. The results showed that more than 50% of respondents experienced respiratory problems (68.4%) with the mayor respondents aged 46-55 years (31.6%), leght of stay> 20 years (47.4%), non-smokers ( 47.4%), and normal Body Mass Index (36.8%). The conclusion of this study is that ambient air quality (NO 2 and SO 2 ) in Kalianak Surabaya still meets quality standards, and RQ> 1 for NO 2 that means that the level of risk is not safe. It is recommended that there be an effort to control air pollution caused by motor vehicle activities by embedding plans that can reduce ambient air pollution.
