 Training of Metacognitive Strategies In Reading Classes

This study discusses metacognitive training strategies in students and users of metacognitive strategies. This research uses experimental design. The participants are students of grade X SMA Darma Bangsa. Data were collected using reading tests, questionnaires and interviews. A reading test is provided to study metacognitive training strategies in student workers. Questionnaires and interviews to learn metacognitive training strategies on the use of metacognitive strategies. Data were analyzed using Paired Sample T-test SPPS version 17. The results showed that the training strategy can be used to improve the performance and metacognitive ability. This finding is supported by interviews that show a positive response from students. Overall, metacognitive training strategies can be an activity to give students knowledge of metacognitive strategies and improve student achievement and use strategy.
