Jurnal MANAJEMEN PENGEMBANGAN KOMPETENSI DOSEN DI PERGURUAN TINGGI SWASTA PROVINSI BENGKULU
Abstract: Teachers and educational institutions as institutions that produce quality graduates, the development of competence is necessary because of the profession needs. The purpose of this study is to analyze the pedagogic lecturer competence developing management. This research used qualitative approach by using interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research are (1) the construction of formulation teams, doing the construction of Strategic Planning and socialization of it, (3) ) the activities carried out in the form of planning; each study program made annual work program based on the vision and mission program, (4) activities in implementation such as training, seminars, workshops, postgraduate program for lecturers, (5) in controlling activities carried out in those aspects; learning process, research, and lecturer in community services and improving the academic position of lecturers within a certain period, but still found a lecturer who teaches not qualifications, and (6) activities in evaluating steps include evaluation of faculty performance and evaluation of learning although still found some lecturers who are not productive in research and community services.

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know and analyze activities in aspects; (1) environmental analysis; (2) strategy formulation, (3) planning; (4) implementation; (5) supervision; and (6) assessment. This research method through a qualitative approach using interview, observation, and documentation study techniques. The conclusions of the results of this study are (1) from the results of the environmental analysis of the two universities having diverse strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges, (2) activities carried out in the formulation of strategies, namely forming a Rensta formulation team, conducting formulation, and socialization, ( 3) activities carried out in planning in the form of; the making of the study program's annual work program based on the faculty's vision and mission is outlined in the study program budget plan. (4) Activities in the form of training, seminars, workshops, and further study programs for lecturers, (5) supervisory activities carried out in the form of learning monitoring, research but still found lecturers who teach are not in accordance with the qualifications of their fields, and (6) activities carried out in the assessment are in the form of performance evaluations and learning evaluations that show results in accordance with the expected criteria even though lecturers are still found unproductive in research and community service.
