The purpose of this study is to review the validity and reliability of the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) to provide comprehensive information to healthcare providers. Materials and methods: The search procedure is fulfilled in Medline, Scopus, Cochran libraries and science web databases from the beginning to April 2018. No studies were taken through electronic databases. The quality of the study was assessed by the COSMIN checklist. The result: Three studies identified a two-factor structure and one found a three-factor structure. EPDS discriminatory validity is able to distinguish your group (mild depression, major depression and healthy women) but fails to distinguish between women with caesarean section and women with normal labor.
