Jurnal Internasional Kaposi sarkoma terkait herpesvirus / human herpesvirus 8 terkait limfoproliferatif
Kaposi herpesvirus-related sarcoma / human herpesvirus 8 is associated with multicentric Castleman disease (MCD) and primary effusion lymphoma (PEL). In MCD, B cells that are infected, even though the polyclonal, expresses the monotypic immunoglobulin M phenotype, possibly through editing of the light chain in adult B cells. They are ascribed to the pre-germinal center (GC) B cell. Both interleukin-6 viruses and humans contribute to the differentiation of plasmacytic cells, and viral replication can be observed in several infected cells. PEL cells are clonal B cells which are considered GC / post-GC B cells. One can also hypothesize that they are from naive B cells infected with the same and that additional factors can cause their specific phenotype.
