The tendency of chemotherapy patients to be exposed to parasitic infections is very high, generally the outcome that appears is very severe. Parasitic infections in immunocompromised patients are more common with diarrhea than immunocompetent patients. One parasitic infection that is often found in chemotherapy patients is intestinal protozoa. This study aims to describe the incidence of diarrhea due to intestinal protozoan infection in chemotherapy patients in RSUP Dr.M. Djamil Padang. This type of research is a descriptive study with a total sample of 59 samples. Data were obtained from faecal analysis and medical records. Data processing is done manually and is presented in the form of a frequency distribution table. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling. The results showed that the incidence of intestinal protozoa in chemotherapy patients was 6.7%, 75% of them suffered from diarrhea and all were acute diarrhea. All diarrhea was caused by Entamoeba histolytica and most appeared in the second cycle (67%). The conclusion of this study is that most chemotherapy patients who have infectious intestinal protozoa have diarrhea and the species that causes it is Entamoeba histolytica.
