GROWTH APPEARANCE AND RESULTS 15 GENOTYPE OF HYBRID CORN IN TWO LOCATIONS.

Needs are increasing along with human growth for food and livestock materials, therefore it is necessary to increase production through increasing productivity with the use of superior varieties. The aim of this study was to compare the growth, development, and results of 15 hybrid corn genotypes in two locations. The study was conducted by planting 15 hybrid corn genotypes in two locations, namely in Musi Rawas district and Seluma district. Using a Complete Randomized Block Design (RAKL) with 15 genotypes used were CT16, CT17, CT21, CT22, CT23, CT27, CT29, CT30, CT34, CT42, CT46, CT47, and CT51 which were repeated three times. Observations were made with 17 observation variables. The results of the observations were analyzed by analysis of variance (F test level of 5%). If the variable is significantly affected, then in the F test, it will continue with Duncan 's Mult ipl e Range T (DMRT) at the 5% level to compare the mean between treatments. The results showed that there was an interaction (gentoipe x location) that had a significant effect and interaction (genotype x location) had no significant effect on the 17 observed variables. Variables that are significantly affected are number of leaves, leaf width, fresh weighted weight, dry weight, root volume, male flowering age, female flowering age, ear diameter, number of seedlings, seed weight per plot. Whereas in variable plant height, stem diameter, leaf length, ear length, number of rows of seeds, weight of planting seeds, weight of 100 seeds were not significantly affected. Among the 15 genotypes evaluated for the best hybrid appearance based on vegetative growth, CT16, CT27, CT30, CT38, and CT42 showed their suitability in Musi Rawas, while CT23, CT27, CT30, CT38, and CT42 at Seluma. The yield variables in Musi Rawas, CT17, CT29, CT30, and CT42 produce higher seed weight per plot than other hybrids, while in Seluma the yield of high seed weight per plot is obtained from CT37, CT38, CT42 and CT17.
