ANALYSIS OF FISHING DENSITY RELATIONSHIP TO SCATTERING VOLUME VALUE OF KATATUA FISH (Chlorurus sordidus) USING UNDERWATER ACOUSTIC TECHNOLOGY.

This study aims to analyze the relationship of changes in fish density to
the value of Scaterring Volume (SV) in reef fish and testing the accuracy of acoustic density estimates of the actual density of fish in the reef fish group. The study used the experimental method. Data were obtained from SV values with 5 experiments with different numbers of fish, namely 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 so that the values of -41.27 dB, -41.20 dB, -40.33 dB, 40.14 dB and -39.40 dB. Of the five densities of this fish, the highest average Scattering Volume was at 10 fish density which was -39.4 dB, and the lowest Scattering Volume value was at the density of fish 2 which was -41.27 dB. For the value of Scattering volume the average fish is positively related linearly to the density of fish. This is evidenced by the high value of the correlation coefficient (r) which is 0.91 with the equation Sv = 2.591 Log n – 42.325. ANOVA analysis results value f
