This study aims to determine the priority of tourism development in the coastal city of Padang. Priority tourism development is determined by the suitability of the land development potential index and tourism. Land suitability for coastal tourism areas uses eight indicators, namely: water transparency, beach type, beach depth, substrate, current velocity, live coral cover, danger, and accessibility. The coastal attraction potential development index uses five criteria: community acceptance, supporting facilities and infrastructure, cultural performances, industrial support, and government support.
