ABSTRACT

The fishery sector in Indonesia can serve as a source for national economic growth. Currently the fish supply in Indonesia comes from aquaculture fishery (FAO, 2005). The success of fishery aquaculture production is strongly influenced by the availability of fish feed. PD Waringin is a local fish feed producer located inBandung which is experiencing problems in marketing. This research was conducted to propose alternative marketing strategy on PD Waringin. The data obtained are obtained through interviews to the owner and distributed questionnaires to consumers. The data obtained is then analyzed using EFE and IFE matrices to find out the current external and internal position of the firm. Then proceed with SWOT analysis to obtain alternative strategies based on the result of adjustment between internal strengths and weaknesses with external opportunities and threats. The results of the company's analysis show that PD Waringin is in a strong external and external position but still needs improvement. Based on the results of SWOT analysis, it is well known that PD Waringin needs to develop product, optimize sales growth by extending distribution network and create new promotion strategy besides word of mouth to attract new consumer for example by selling online.
