Abstract: Based on the results of observation shows that the variety of local potential that exist around the school has not been utilized by the teacher as a source of learning. The available LKS has not been used to develop the scientific process skills and students' scientific attitude. The use of approaches in the learning process has not been adapted to the material characteristics and learning objectives. This study aims to: (1) know the effectiveness of IPA LKS theme of soy soy sauce based on STM approach to improve the science process skill and (2) to know the effectiveness of IPO LKS theme “soy sauce” based on STM approach to improve scientific attitude. The research design used was quasi experimental design. This research was conducted at SMP N 1 Petanahan. The subjects of the study were the students of class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Petanahan using 2 classes as control class and experiment class, each of which amounted to 32 students. Data were collected using observation skill of science process process, science process skill test, observation sheet of scientific attitude and scientific attitude questionnaire. Data analysis technique use t-test with significance level 0,05. The results of the research have shown that: (1) LKS IPA “soy sauce” theme based on STM approach is effective in improving science process skills and (2) LKS IPA “soy sauce” theme based on STM approach is effective in improving scientific attitude
